Research and Analysis
We offer a suite of Research and Analysis services. These services from our experienced engineers are Benchmarking, Early Warning Process, and Risk Analysis.
Benchmarking
- Benchmarking is a way of discovering what the best performance or quality being achieved is – by a competitor or by an entire different industry. This information then can be used to identify gaps in an organization’s processes or product’s design in order to achieve a competitive advantage.
- JND has our own processes and plan with test cases and is doing benchmarking for many products, which has market-leading benefits.
- The items for benchmarking are as follow but not limited to:
- Mechanical and Functional Design Concept
- Check whether or not uses the correct parts or accessories for best performance.
- User experience and Usability A good mobile UI design delivers on all below five usability areas to provide good user experience.
- - Visibility
- - Accessibility
- - Responsiveness
- - Efficiency
- - Feedback
- Performance : Data up/down throughput, Battery usage time, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Voice call performance, Voice quality
Early Warning Process
- The roles of EWP(Early Warning Process) is monitoring new model launch/return trends from quality perspective using sources from field test, contact center, website, available internal/external data, and others.
- And EWP also analyzes early returned products, generate formal report, document and inform management of the results and issues found during early returned phone inspection, and communicate with the internal department regarding product quality. EWP works for continuous improvement in a timely manner. Doing these activities, we can reduce huge failure costs by improving early detected defect, and also increase product quality by reflecting these solutions to the next future models.
Risk Analysis
- New technology can give companies a first-mover advantage but this requires boldness and there will always be some risk.
Below are examples of cases that have potential risks.
- New software functions or applications
- Changed concepts of functional algorithm
- First implemented hardware technology (Memory, CPU, GPU, LCD, etc...)
- Most software organization only test the known variations because they use written specifications for a basis of their test cases. The real world is never like the test bed, no matter how much time is spent in development and testing.
Our experienced engineers are available to analyze and give solutions for all your application needs.
